The occasion really doesn't matter
Nor does the attire that you wear
Whether you’re teaching from a podium,
preaching from a pulpit,
or just lounging in a comfortable chair
…You are always a lady

It was something special about you
That I noticed a very long time ago
It was an immediate turn-on for me,
in my body, my spirit, and soul
But of course, I couldn't let you know
But now you know, that I know,
…You are always a lady

Your name explains your ways so perfectly
It means "Little woman, who lives virtuously"
No matter where or when, you have always been
And you always will be
