My Good Thing

I have found that virtuous woman
A gift given to me, to have and to hold throughout all time
The very one sought after by the richest, and wisest man alive
Though he searched the world throughout his days, he could never find

She could not be found, because she had not yet been born
The Lord had her in store for me
The gift that keeps on giving love
Placed in my life forevermore

Yes indeed, I have found my good thing
and the favor of the Lord, and man does she bring
The grace, beauty, and wisdom that she has
is much too great to contain

Much more than I could list in this lifetime
is what she possess in her character, and now what's even better
One day she will possess my name
Yes indeed, I have found my good thing
